Re: The Shard - some explainations
OK YOU GUYS, I CAN'T TAKE THE SUSPENSE ANY LONGER, HERE GOES:
Most of the insight I've gained from this dream is in the first portion, getting hurt. The second part, trying to help myself, gave directions as to when/where this happened. (the trigger?)
Take a good look at what happens; The man cracks the mirror. What is the purpose of a mirror? What IS a mirror? It's a reflection, (and in this case, has caused me to do much reflecting) most people use it to check their appearances. So the man cracks the mirror, tears the top half off the wall and hurls it at me. This piece of glass is just about "portrait" size, like it would show your head n shoulders. Ok, so he damages my image and throws it at me. I pick it up and throw it back. The glass hits the wall over his head and shatters, one of the pieces sticking in his back. This whole scenario reminds me of the way that people 'throw around' their perceptions of other people. Sometimes they mean to throw a 'barb' or get in a 'jab'. Other times it's a thoughtless comment, that finds it's mark none the less. The interesting thing is how accurately these ideas are portrayed in this dream. If we were to 'stop' and take a 'look' at what were throwing at the other person, we would find ourselves confronted with OUR OWN IMAGE!
I still have to sort out all the 'issues' involved with this, my own personal image, but feel it's important to relate that the rage this man felt, was MY RAGE. Instead of venting it in some healthly way, I turned it inwards and ATTACKED MYSELF!
(Lately I've been seeing other dreams on this forum in which violence is featured. Im wondering if there's a cosmic/ astrological connection. Like with the harmonic concordance when everyone was having male/female dreams. Or right before this, with several people having 'sex with themselves' dreams, me included. I hope Tracey can throw some light on this.)
Also this dream contained images of emotion, but no emotions!
It was more like an objective viewpoint, than a subjective one.
I'm sure this is important in interpreting your own dream experiences, but not sure how it applies. (Pls. see posts:
'Getting shot', and 'Beating up on ex' to get a flavor of what I mean) Any ideas?
I hope this post brings insights.
Blessings, Marj
