Kidnapped by ex-boyfriend
OK so a little background.
I'm almost 36 years old. I'm gay- 'came out'
at age 16, but I did date a man for about 8 months
when I was 20. Otherwise, I've only dated women, although
I am currently single.
My dream- I was planning my wedding.
The fiance was never 'seen' in the dream, but I knew
it was a man. I was unsure about my decision to
marry him, but it was unclear why.
Then my ex-boyfriend appeared with his family members,
and they kidnapped me. They took me to a house and kept me there.
I wasn't afraid of them at all, and while in the house I just walked around and talked to each of them, and felt very loved by them. I knew they were protecting me from marrying this wrong man. I went into the bedroom where my ex-boyfriend was sleeping and felt a strong surge of love for him. I went over and lay down beside him and kissed him. He woke up and held me, and told me that he loved me.
Then my fiance was outside the house, and the ex-boyfriend and his family were trying to get rid of him. I insisted that I go outside and explain to him that I had not actually been kidnapped, but had come with these people of my own free will, and that I planned to stay with them (and not go through with the wedding).
I'm at a loss on this one- perhaps the message is one of clinging to the past and feeling safe there, rather than moving forward in a direction that may be 'wrong'...
Any thoughts??
