Re: more.....
That was excellent Daizy
In order to have this feeling, there must be complete trust and faith.
I have a friend who is younger than I, and whenever I am in contact with this person there is always something she says which destroys the bridge I keep having to replace for her. On her side, she is "never intending" to hurt me, or degrade my honor.
Things like: comments on how my house is built ( how the architect did not know what he was doing ), how my children look ( after my first son had his haircut, she informs me how he looked like a cancer patient, then she apologized, how my house needs cleaning, etc, etc, etc. Every time I see this person it seems there is something I have to put a shield up for. I keep saying maybe Im too sensitive, she does not mean it, yet again there are somethings people should remain silent about even though its the truth.
Although I try not to let it get to me, these comments over the years have entered into my heart pretty deep, and its hard to have a unconditional friendship. I have always kept in contact and stayed pleasant, but Im afraid some people just do not connect. So when one does find that true connection it is a great blessing of support to both sides (equally).
