Just a thought...

My theory is that the left side of the face gets a lot more sun exposure than the right side of the face, for people who drive their cars. When in the drivers seat, the left side of the face will often be exposed to sunrays, while the right side is completely unexposed to the sun when in the drivers seat. My understanding is that U.V. rays do penetrate glass.
