Re: head stuff....
Dear PJ,
All five are related to the same two things. 1. Vata (air) is moving upwards, causing backflushing of waste matter, toxins, bacteria, acids, etc. into the stomach, chest, throat, tongue, face, scalp, and hair folicles. 2. The lymph drainage from the reproductive organs and those tender parts of the body does not remove all the daily-generated, acidic metaboliic waste products and dead cells. Hence, there is a buildup of dead tissue and waste matter. The body will try to break these down through the inflammatory and/or pain response (pain always prompts water to be sent to areas of congestion). Congestion causes dehydration, and thus, a headache is the body's effort to overcome the dehydration. The brain secretes histamines, which are powerful water-regulating hormones. These hormones pass over pain nerves and trigger pain. When the afflicted area has been rehydrated and has healed up again, the pain subsides.
In most people, five liver flushes are not enough to ensure proper bile flow and good digestion. Keeping the colon clean is the most direct way to prevent backflushing of waste matter, acid, an toxins. Colonic irrigation or colemas, or at least a few enemas done at a time are quick methods to pacify Vata. Diet, mealtimes, bedtimes, along with emotional states have perhaps the most immediate effect on this situation (see Timless Secrets of Health & Rejuvenation). Any unresolved relationship issue, where you feel unloved, not understood, or frustrated, upsets Vata more than any of these other reasons. It can shut down digestive functions by forcing blood away from the internal organs to the bones, muscles and skin. Also, any unresolved problems in the sexual part of a relationship tends to cause discomfort before menstruation. It is difficult to heal on the physical level when there is a basic unresolved conflict of some kind. It requires courage and trust to stand up for oneself and for one's needs. If others do not respect and honor you for who you are, it may be best to walk away.
