Wisdom Teeth

Hi Andreas,
I am curious as to what you think about wisdom teeth and why so many people have problems with them. Mine are just growing in and of course I was told I needed to have them removed. I tend to think we wouldn't be born with something if it weren't useful in some way, but everyone I know has had them removed, and if they haven't, the wisdom teeth have caused them alot of problems like shifting their teeth crooked or just plain rotting them.
