That is a very good question!! When I was pregnant back 22 and 18 years ago, my
gallbladder area hurt very often. I am now an R.N. in an OB/GYN office and I know
that it is not uncommon for someone to have to have their gallbladder out after
the baby is born. How sad. Well, I would say that it is due to the fetus taking up
more space in the abdomen as it grows bigger and that it affects the digestion
and bile secretion from the gallbladder. There may be a hormonal component also. I would sure watch your diet while you are pregnant to avoid any serious attacks.
