Treatment for lipoma?

I recently read that liver cleansing might be an effective way to rid oneself of lipomas...

Is this true? If so, what would be the logic behind this connection.

Do you know of any cases of people successfully getting rid of existing lipomas?

Tangential question: I have seen many people referring to "Indian herb". What herb is this? It wouldn't be "bitter melon," would it?
