Amiotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Hello,
I'm a student of Homeopathy in Spain. I'm finishing the Diplome of Homeopahty course and I haven't enough clinical training, because of this, I need some help.
I've got a patient and a good friend who suffers from a degenerative illness, exactly ALS (Amiotrofic Lateral Sclerosis). He is loosing the mobility of his members and he thinks there is nothing to do with this illness.
I think perhaps Homeopathy could improve his health and lessen his pains.
I don't know if someone of you has treated this kind of illness and if he has been successful. I'd like to try to treat my friend but I don't know how I can begin. I've recorded all his symptoms, but all of them are general sympthoms. I can't find any particular sympthom to work on.
