Re: hep. C and fasting?

I have wondered the same thing. I have had hcv for many years. I am starting my third threatment for hep now. Right now I am taking 1200 mg of Rebetol daily and 360 mcg of Pegasys weekly. If this doesn't work I am just out of luck. Unless fasting works.

I need an alternative and I am afraid to use the so called herbal remedies as some actually damage your liver in spite of what the experts on them say. And the experts I am referring to are the ones selling the herbal remedies.

But water and juice are good all the way around. I remember once several years back, before I was diagnosed, I went on a juice fast for 21 days. The first three days were a little hard but after that I felt fantastic!.. energy, energy and more energy.

I have never done a complete water fast, but I have been seriously thinking about it. I have several books on the subj. And there is not much information on this.

I quit smoking 10 days ago to start things out. But I am going to fast in spite of taking the medicine I am on. I don't have a lot of side effects from the medicine, so..........soon I will know.
