Subject: Re: [mscured] Reiki testimonial re MS
Hi,
When I took Janie to have her Amalgams removed it was
a very stressful experience for her when her MS was
very bad. At that time she was extremely sick and
very weak. Since she had 17 fillings, a root canal
tooth to be removed, and cavitation repair surgery,
she was in the dentist chair all day long for several
days. This whole experience caused her to have severe
pain in her legs and hands in addition to the pain in
the mouth, and besides she was a nervous wreck and
started crying.
When they gave her a break I was taking her down the
hall in her wheelchair to the break room and a nice
person stopped us and asked if he could help. I said
I didn't think so, but thanks anyway. He asked what
the problem was and we briefly told him.
He said he was a Reiki master and would like to try to
help if he could. Neither Janie nor I had ever heard
of Reiki and didn't know what he was talking about.
When he explained, I thought he was a nut, but a nice
person since he wanted to help. He asked if he could
spend a few minutes with Janie to try to take away her
pain and calm her down. At that time she was really a
basket case mentally and physically.
She wanted to try it, so one of the nurses who knew
him let us use one of the rooms that was vacant. I
don't understand what he did or how it works, but he
talked to her and moved his hands around over her body
a few inches away, but did not ever touch her. All
the time he kept talking quietly to her. It was really
strange, but in a few minutes he worked a miracle.
She said her pain had all left her and she immediately
stopped crying. She calmed down and got real peaceful
and almost fell asleep. I wish I had been paying
attention. She said it felt warm where he held his
hands over her body. Again, he didn't touch her.
When she was feeling better he left. I wish I had his
name and address. Since then Janie and I have tried
to find a Reiki practitioner in our area, but no luck.
I don't know how it works or anything about Reiki, but
that guy was like an angel that appeared when we
needed help the most, then vanished.
