Diarrhea, alternative medecine and lime tree sap-wood

I’ve been suffering from diarrhea since 1998. Since 2000 I have almost totally abandoned orthodox medical approach, because I was always told by doctors the diarrhea was mainly due to stress and nervousness, and a friend of mine even dared to ask me if I was hypocondriac.

In 2000 I found an “alternative” doctor, a serious French dietetician and ostheopath who, for reasons unknown to me, comes once a month or so to Reggio Emilia (Italy) where he stays 2 or 3 days and cures Italian patients. He found out with appropriate though very expensive French tests that, among other reasons, I lack of essential fatty acids, my liver is intoxicated and I suffer from intestinal malabsorption. He gave me omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, high grade vitamins and minerals, chlorophyll, lactobacilli, but I kept on feeling sick as those oils made the diarrhea worsen. So I went to the French doctor from time to time and he made trials: he changed brands, dosages, but the situation didn’t improve.

I was desperate and tried again with my family doctor. He prescribed me reluctantly A C D E and B group vitamins and lactobacilli on my insisting demand. I was already taking lactobacilli, but since those ones were coming from France by mail, I wondered if the hot Summer temperature wouldn’t inactivate them. So, with a new prescription in my hand, I went to the pharmacy and bought vitamins (Tocalfa, Berocca, Redoxon1000) and “fresh” lactobacilli (Enterogermina). Having bought Swiss dr Catherine Kousmine’s book “Salvate il vostro corpo” (original French version: “Sauvez votre corps”) in which she claimed the benefits of German dr Johanna Budwig’s breakfast recipe, I also ate Budwig’s cream every day.

Some weeks later I added lime tree sap-wood tea. Actually, I had bought it for my mate who has frequently pain in the epathic area. He didn’t want to drink it saying it tasted awful (that’s men!), so I just started consuming that tea in his place for almost a month, because I thought “if it doesn’t any good, it won’t do any harm either”.

Well, after 3-4 weeks my diarrhea disappeared ALMOST completely. I don’t know if it was due either to lactobacilli, or that herbal tea or the other supplements I was taking, but now I am likely to think I had a sinergic beneficial effect.

Well, at this point one expects the happy ending, but this is not a fairy-tale and I made a mistake: I listened too much to other people’s unexperienced and “ignorant” opinions. In fact, while I was doing this personal cure, I was simultaneously told by a friend of mine and by a massagist (who is not a doctor) that “you’re healthy! You have nothing, it’s all in your head!” and other sentences like that.

In the very period I was improving I had always someone around telling me it was psychosomatic. I began convincing myself that they were true and I decided that when I finished all the stuff (vit., herbal tea, etc) I had at home I would stop was I better or not.

As I said, eventually I got almost rid of diarrhea and felt more energic and active and what?… I know it doesn’t make any sense, but I abruptly stopped everything, just because the massagist convinced me that I just needed good psychotherapy with her and the fact that I was depressive caused all: diarrhea, eczema, etc. I felt relieved to talk about my family problems and myself, but for ex when she asked me: “You have still eczema, why? You DON’T WANT to feel better, it is your mind that gives room to your eczema”. I tried to think I was a healthy person, then she eventually became furious with me: “You don’t improve because you don’t want to. It is useless coming here. I don’t want to continue with you”.

After that I felt very sad and also my energy went slowly away. Then one month ago the diarrhea came back. I took up my courage and went again to the French doctor who told me I had been stupid to follow other people’s advice and if the diarrhea had previously disappeared it was surely thanks to some of the supplements, etc, I took. He showed me again the tests proving my body eagerly needed to be helped and he also approved my reading of dr Kousmine’s book, whom he met years ago and whose principles have guided his methods.
Now I am taking again the supplements, etc he prescribed to me and also budwig’s cream and lime tree sap-wood on my own and, as I have discovered in this wonderful site the liver flush, I am preparing myself for that.

I don’t know if I will succeed or not with this cure, but I prefer this natural way to classic drugs and I also learned to keep distant from people telling me “it’s all in your head”.

With this testimonial of mine I hope some people suffering from diarrhea, spring allergies, and intoxicated liver like me will find some benefits in using lime tree sap-wood, which is a well-known ancient French remedy for hepathic problems.

Thanks
