Re: Yes and ...
Split banana, and try to examine center of it under magnifying glass. Inside center, you will find long fiber strings, fairly strong strings.
Take a fork and try to pull out strings from the cut. Examine those strings under magnifying glass.
Cut one banana across, and examine the cut under magnifying glass. Take a fork and try to pull out strings from that cut. Examine those strings under magnifying glass.
They are white, it is true, but they are identical (by size, consistence, strength, shape, edges, ...) to strings that you found inside your feces.
So called "SPIDER LEGS" are actually banana fibers, digested and sometimes clumped together (our bowels are experts in clumping things together). Most people don't chew raw banana, cause it is so soft that you can swallow it after chewing it 3 - 5 times. Chewing it 3 - 5 times is not enough to cut fibers into small length.
Once fibers are exposed to bile (dark green), fibers change color into dark brown, or even black, and are easily seen inside feces.
I am 99.9999% sure that what you got( and what people on internet describe as "Spiders"), are actually un-digested banana fibers.
I am not as sure for "Cotton Balls" cause I have never seen them myself, but considering that they often "travel" together with "Spiders", I am pretty sure that it is undigested banana.
Just my 2 cents.
Don't believe? Do your experiments and prove me wrong.
Task 1: Eat bananas whole day, and examine your stool tomorrow.
Task 2: Do not eat bananas for 2 -3 days, and try to find "Spider legs" in your stool.
Task 3: Report what you found on this forum.
Tasks are for everybody!
