(My husband can't type so he wants me to ask the questions.) The doctor told him today that his gallbladder is still inflammed. It was due to a gallstone that was stuck and caused acute pancreatitis 3 weeks ago. The gallstone passed at that time while he was in the hospital, but doc told him it was 6mm in size when they first spotted it. They don't know if the other stones are calcified. They put a "stint" in the gallbladder duct at that time, which I would think means that it can only expand so far now. They have him scheduled to come back next week to talk about surgery. He only has a soreness if his abdomen is pressed. Otherwise, he has been feeling much better. He has been drinking organic apple juice and starts Gold Coin Grass tomorrow to HOPEFULLY soften the stones. The phosfood liquid hasn't arrived yet and he will take that in the apple juice for a limited time prior to the flush, which is to soften them also. The first concern is that this stint may allow the duct to only expand so wide when the stones start to pass (doc warned him by saying "if you get another stone stuck, you will be in trouble as before"). Anybody know anything about these stints? We are hoping and praying the stones will soften and pass through. Lastly I've read that certain herb teas help with inflammation of the gallbladder. Does anyone know which are best? I read that it should be 2 parts marshmallow root, 1 part each of Dandelion, Fringetree Bark, Wahoo & Mountain Grape. What about Vit. C? We want to save his gallbladder if at all possible. Anyone ever had inflammation of gallbladder and got through this? Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated!
