Re: Digital TV for everybody

I won't call you paranoid nor wacko. Within the grand Conspiracy there are many portions. The perps of course understand the reality but for the masses, at least those so motivated to peak behind the curtain, some portions, especially historical ones, are known cold hard and undeniable facts - reality, and only thought of as theory by those who's job it is to keep the masses entertained, and the masses themselves who's inclination is to keep their view faithfully locked onto the front side of the curtain where the grand show continues to play out for them. For those who like to play on words, I suppose the latter could be said to be those who's reality is theory - a false reality. Some portions, especialy those still taking shape that have not been given their place in history remain a matter of theory - not for the perps but for all the masses awake and not. The global press to go digital seems to fall into the category of theory still taking the shape of it's eventual reality.

Even on a good day in this neck of the globe the government would be hard pressed to spin their go-digital efforts into reasonable and legitimate "for the greater good" tale. Whatever the eventual shape is, digital is a piece that it is being placed into an existing structure that in the late 1800s the government appointed themselves monopoly control over (preceeding modern day FCC) while the technologies themselves (radio, telegraph, telephone and the eventual merger of these - TV) were still being developed for commercial purposes. Also remember that many of today's broadcast executives came from a background - often foreign, in military intelligence.

Experimentation for the go-digital effort has been ongoing for many years (decades). As recent as 1999 hundreds of Japanese tv-viewers made news as unwitting guinea pigs; that it made news is also indicative that the actual facts in the matter were well covered up, but hundreds of people, especially children, were given to severe seizure and shock after about 20 minutes of viewing a digitally enhanced version of a cartoon (Pokemon?). This of course is theory but snippets of the facts can still be found by searching the web.
