Well...if you've had a sluggish bowel for 'years' then it really takes longer than 20 days to bring it back to life! :o) Months, actually...so don't give up hope. Are you familiar with certain herbs that are gentle with assisting with elimination...foods as well? Apples, carrots, beets, bananas, citrus...all high in pectin...then there's good ol prunes..they really do help, I also recommend figs, oh and a good green drink daily helps too. Gentle yet regular exercise and of course drinking lots of water is key to any bowel irregularity....as well as maintaining proper elimination. Hope this helps.
