Re: Don't like Colosan! Anybody else?
I have not had any experience with Colosan (or
Oxypowder ) because even though I'm familiar with the way they work, I have health concerns about them.
Both products are made up almost entirely of Magnesium (in some form or another).
Both Milk of Magnesia and
Epsom Salts are forms of Magnesium, that cause the bowels to move by pulling water out of the body into the bowels...which causes the bowels movement. The "oxygen" element is supposedly what causes the feces to be liquified, rather than in it's normal state.

>>Colosan is a compound of magnesium and oxygen in which the magnesium atoms form a loose lattice onto which oxygen is bonded by a catalytic process. When taken with lemon juice or other acidic juice, that oxygen is released inside the digestive tract, producing powerful de-toxifying effects. It cleanses the bowel, and has anti-fungal /candidal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. The beneficial action is derived from the prescence of magnesium peroxide, magnesium superoxide and magnesium ozonide.<<
While these types of products most certainly WILL 'get you going', there's no way to tell whether or not the mucoid plaque has been removed from the lining of the intestines, because what comes out is basically liquified.
The use of magnesium based laxatives does not require the muscles of your intestines to achieve peristalsis (the squeezing of the colon to eliminate waste), so many times I see posts saying once folks stop using these products, they are worse than they were before.
Although there are many people that like them, I recommend against using them.
