flush/fast/cleanse addictive??

Hello,

I am wondering if these flushes/fasts/cleanses are addictive? In other words, after numerous "treatments" will the body still be able to function properly? Will the liver still do its job normally or will it permanently rely on the assistance of a cleanse/flush?? Will the body still rid itself of toxins or will it rely on fasting to get rid of these toxins?? How do you know if you are doing too much? What is the "correct" number of times a year to do these various cleanses? Are they really safe? Can someone give me a link or direct me to a book that may help with these serious concerns I have??

Thank you for your answers!!!!
