I was beginning to wonder this myself. Although I don't know if what you are using eliminates MP, these pics helped my identify what the "gunk" I was eliminating is. See pg. 139 here, Dath's post on Mucoid Plague Pics, then click on the blessed herb link he posted. It shows samples of MP straight out of the toilet water. Hope this helps!
