Should I be using this Psyllium Seed?

Let me preface this question by stating my background a little. I have been suffering from bloating and diarrhea for over a year now and I have found (wrongfully!) that one way for me to combat the discomfort of being bloated was to use laxatives, about 3-4 times a week. Now I have a difficult time going to the bathroom, I strain a lot and usually to no avail, but when I do go it is always diarrhea not watery but EXTREMELY loose, no formation at all.
Now, I started using the P&B shakes about 4 days ago with some left over GNC brand psyllium. It was making me very constipated and "backed up", my abdomen was more distended than usual. When I ran out of the GNC brand I found Yerba Primas Fiber Plus. I have taken this for 2 days now and I still get bloated and a bit backed up but I have moved my bowels 3 times yesterday and 3 times today. However, my stool is not formed at all and I seem to have a bit of diarrhea again, whereas using the GNC brand it was TOO formed, it took a lot work to get that out. Yerba Prima has more ingredients in it other than pysllium:
Concentrated fiber blend 6,400 mg
Psyllium seed husks
Soy fiber (non_GMO)
Oat bran
Acacia gum
Apple pectin extract
Cleansing herbal blend 480 mg
Ginger root
Red clover tops extract 4:1
Dandelion root & leaf extract 4:1
Senna extract, 10% sennosides
Should I continue to use this or do I go back the GNC brand? I would like to get back to having regular stools, and to strengthen my bowels to have normal peristalsis again.
