"I am dying by inches."
My 91-year-old mother, Helen, said to me last night, "I am dying by inches." She has lost five
pounds a day for about a week. She needs your prayers. She is on Prilosec to repair gut bleeding from another medication, Neurontin, a nerve blocker pain pill she takes for Non-Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.
Prilosec blocks her stomach acid. And if I have low stomach acid, chances are with Prilosec Helen has no digestion going on right about now. Helen's negligent state hospital doctors will not take her off Neurontin, which causes a host of problems including unusual bleeding like she was having.
I need to get a lawyer and get a Durable Power of Attorney to have some control over her meds before she melts away. I beg your prayers for me and for this otherwise healthy 91-year-old who was driving earlier this before the cycle of
Antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals took their toll. God bless all the sick, lonely and confused with healing, comfort and guidance; God bless all who bring spiritual and physical health; and God bless all those who minister in prayer. "Pray giving thanks."
