Cross post on SARS (the lab developed disease?)
Subject: Fwd: My SARS Suspicions
I think you are justified in your suspicions. Have you read Bush's emergency plans for "lock up" for people exposed to this disease. Isn't it a bit odd that he should have had these plans finalized even before the CDC has announced the "gravity" of disease. The media is telling US that it could kill more of US than those killed in Iraq (it doesn't mention if that total includes both US & Iraqi losses). Just like Homeland Security Bill was written before 9/11. Just like the Beltwar Sniper. Didn't the media tell US that it is spread by crowds of people. HINT. HINT. As for me, I will take my chances. I'd rather be killed by a virus than by Bush. Joannewrote:To: , , ,
My SARS Suspicions
Forgive me if this sounds like an attack of paranoia...but isn't the appearance of SARS a bit convenient for the Regime right now? After all, they now have a new excuse to grab and lock people up ("quarantine") as well as to search more luggage, monitor more travel, etc. This new "menace" is a bad disease, to be sure, but has a lower fatality rate than influenza which has been around for centuries. I cannot help but think that the new media panic over SARS is politically motivated by those seeking even tighter restrictions on the public.... Also it will make people fear crowds (i.e. antiwar demonstrations...get it?) and keep them inside and fearful where they belong. What do you think? Joanne G
