Re: read closer-I did not slam the troops
He's right on this one, Ev.
You continue to assert that those of us who are against war are against our troops.
We are not.
We don't want them over there fighting this war. We don't want our young men being killed over George Bush's delusions of imminent threat.
How is that "against" our troops?
They're not even YOUR troops!
Sometimes, when I read what you and stofurz post, I get the feeling that you "two" are just playing out the stereotype of what a rabid Born-Again George supporter is like. It's very difficult to believe that people like you exist. It's almost scary. You're someone who wants another country to kill civilians as a necessary evil because you're a Canadian pretending to be afraid of attacks on a country you don't even live in... You ignore every bit of data about how Saddam Hussein got into power in the first place. You assume that 100% of anything you are told which disagrees with what you believe must be wrong, and that the people who hold any such opinion are degenerates. You don't mind that this war is either going to result in massive casualties on both sides, or it will result in nuclear war (with far fewer casualties on the American side if this occurs), but amusingly see ridding the world of Hussein as a good thing because of your accusation that leaving him in power will result in lots of deaths to his own people!
So now, the USA can just go in and kill even more people in one war than Hussein would have managed in his lifetime... The irony...
But then I remember what the Bible tells me about what you believe God is, and it all makes sense in a twisted sort of way.
If people like you are what's supposed to pass for "worthy of Heaven" -- if your version of The Real Picture is 100% accurate -- then I'd gladly choose eternal suffering in Hell, because you and your "God" are murderous, vicious, odious, co-dependent, irrational, duplicitous scoundrels.
If by your actions you are to serve as a beacon to bring others to salvation, you have failed egregiously.
