Herpes and Fasting

I can't beleive I'm telling my business to a bunch of stranger! But I guess it will have to be okay because I really want an answer. I currently have an outbreak and have been sick for about 6 weeks and taking my prescription medication at high doses. My lesions have almost cleared up. Maybe in another few days they'll be completely gone. Since I have been sick for so long I am afraid that doing the fast will make me sick again. I've been taking a lot of vitamins to support my immune system and to control the virus but I am still afraid to go forward. I really want to do the cleanse. Does anyone have any advise for me?
