What about magnetic matress/matress pads?

I am thinking of purchasing a magnetic bed/ mattress pad. Anyone out there have any experience with them?? I believe after doing much research that only the negative(north pole) beds are best..but there seem to be two schools of thought (both expensive mattress pads) re: what type..for example Dr Bonlee makes one that goes undderneath you mattress and on top of the box spring, and Dr Philpott, who is another expert, advises to buy one that goes on top of the mattress. Many companies make the PHilpott and I believe only Bonlee's company makes his type.
Any help very much appreciated! There are very expensive ones..and some cheaper ones..I am confussed on what is best!
