Black Walnut Powder
It started with pimples on my upper arms, then expanded from elbow to shoulders. Then they changed to blisters all over my feet, hands, sporadic on my legs, arms, shoulders. Some were huge.
Didn't want to use permethrin.
Got some
Black-Walnut hull powder, mixed it with water. Covered my body with it each night. They stopped biting. But got little nibbles still on my knuckles, in between fingers. Got them off my feet to just on my hands, then just on my left hand in the end. It was obvious I was winning the war.
So started spraying my bed with rubbing alcohol from a spray bottle. Then cover it up with blankets to let those fumes bake those little sobs.
It worked. I am laughing now because it has been a horrible time for me. The scabs are healing.
Now my scabs are almost healed. Haven't gotten bit in a week. Than rubbing alcohol knocks those little sobs out. That is the trick right there, rubbing alcohol. It kills them dead on surfaces, then it evaporates.
Spent $10 for a lb of
Black-Walnut powder online and $5 on 4 large bottles of alcohol. Still have alcohol left. Spray it on my carpet, on the bed. The mites are gone, but they were so horrible that I am not taking chances. Plan on spraying my bed every week forever for cheap insurance.
Good luck to everyone here. I read these messages from my desperation the past 3 months of my problem, got some good ideas. Was keeping the permethrin in mind as a last resort. My experiences showed that a lot of the bites came after I killed them on my skin. They hatch out or something. Had to kill those on the surfaces.
But I tell you. Those mites don't like
Black-Walnut hull powder. Out of starvation they nibbled but didn't burrow deep,
It was weird too because, these mites bit like they had brains and battle plans. One bite on one toe would be in the same exact place on the other foot and so on. It was hard to believe because you could measure with a ruler to the millimeter.
It was a daunting feeling wondering how smart are these little sobs were. All I know is that I got lucky. Could imagine how horrible it could have been. My hands were so ravaged from scabs running in to other scabs. Still have a few of the original bite scabs from two months ago. They burrowed in so deep.
I probably won't be back on this board again. This has been a problem I want to forget. But didn't feel right knowing that I found a way to wipe them out, wanted to help someone if possible.
