Re: Help, Tim!
My name is Carla and this is my first message, so I just wanted to introduce myself and add a few comments.
First off I noticed several people who are interested in oxygen therapies to help them get rid of Candida. I have battled with it since I was sixteen years old and although I'm not an expert I read up on it every chance I get and feel pretty informed on the issue.
I just wanted to pass on a website for those out there looking for help. It's health-truth.com. After sorting through all the multitudes of misinformation out there and trying hundreds of remedies and tactics that failed I came across this site. It's the site for a nutrition clinic in New York. (I live in Louisiana, but they hold consulations over the phone).
Reasons I am in support of this clinic. 1)They send you lab test kits in the mail to perform at home to make sure their remedies are working instead of just making assumptions based off symptom fluctuations. 2)Dr. Biamonte's program is 4 phases. Phase 0 prepares your body for the upcoming detox, Phase 1 kills off most of the Candida, Phase 2 kills off Candida buried deeply in intestinal walls, Phase 3 begins nutrition and rebuilding of the body, Phase 4 heals the immune system to prevent any future relapse. 3)Candida is a very tricky organism to get under control because it can mutate and change forms so rapidly. Dr. Biamonte's program rotates different treatments so that the each treatment is switched to another one before the candida can adapt and become immune. 4)Lastly Dr. Biamonte doesn't waste any money giving you any nutritional supplements until you have the Candida under control. Until you have the Candida under control you won't get any benefit from nutritional supplements. It's like trying to rebuild a house before you've put the fire out.
Note, I really like Dr. Biamonte's program, but I am aware that it is only one of many out there and that there may be others that work just as well.
Lastly, I support Tim's comments about being careful with hydrogen peroxide. It's dilution is very important, also, any new health program has to be built up very gradually over time. The old adage, "more is better" doesn't apply here. The stronger dose you take the stronger healing reaction you can have. You have to build up gradually to give the body a chance to adjust. Especially when you're already in a weakened state with candida.
This is how a lot of natural therapies get a bad reputation. People start panicking and thinking they're dangerous because of someone who just jumped on the bandwagon and decided to try it without first educating themselves. Then they applied the technique incorrectly and had a bad reaction. Anything can be harmful in excess, even water.
So before you attempt any new program or natural health therapy, read up on it and educate yourself of any dosage limits, warnings, healing crisis effects, etc.
