Lots of water and increase fiber slowly. To much fiber will constipate you and bring on an attack. In November I ate stirfry and served it on brown rice.BOY!Was that ever too much fiber.Almost ended up at ER.Epsome salts and stool softeners finally got it out more than 24 houts later and it hurt so much I ached for days.I think the doctors say high fiber diet so much because it's pretty much a given in this society that your eating white bread and so forth.Last night I ate some banana nut bread and later a spinach salad and I had an attack that made my night hell. One doc had told me if I eat greens to take the veins out and ofcourse the spinach had lots of them.I'd even told my husband I shouldn't eat it but stupid me did anyway.[it was good!LOL]Eat whole wheat bread and get your fiber from sources such as oatmeal.Be sure to eat enough but too much will constipate you and you'll have an attack.Nuts and seeds are debated but I found I'd better stay away from nuts pretty much unless chopped finely for a recipe.Hope this helps,Dot.
