Couldn't save his gallbladder. What a mess he's in now.

Indications were that the Antibiotics weren't reducing the infection enough. As he is diabetic his Sugar levels were raised. The surgeons decided on laproscopic surgery to remove his GB. All went well until the last moment went the bag used to retrieve the severed GB and contents burst as they pulled it out of his belly button keyhole. Now he has to stay in hospital to guard against further infection. What a mess he is in now! I only hope he does not suffer too much. I couldn't tell him of the complications as he was too zonked out from the op and pain killers. The doctors can break the bad news to him tomorrow when they do their rounds. They can tell him that the simple procedure which lets you go home the next day was anything but. Any suggestions on how I can help him recover from this? Regards Grumpy's worried wife.
