I think you missed the point entirely. They're talking about mimicking the tapeworm's ability to stay in the intestine, for use with other drugs (treating other illnesses) so that those drugs will be mostly absorbed into the body, rather than 1% being absorbed and the other 99% being flushed out. The way it is currently, lots of money is spent on the drug, but you have to take 99 times more of it, to cure the illness, because you lose most of it before it can help. And also, it pollutes the environment because the flushed 99% ends up in the sea....
