GOOD FRIDAY GOOD FOR HEALTH
PRAYER ON Good Friday WILL GIVE YOU HEALTH -- Legend
On Good Friday, Jesus Christ carried the Cross on behalf of the whole of mankind for the sins that they have committed, and gave up HIS life for people. His sacrifice on the Cross was to destroy power of evil which is the biggest enemy of human.
According to the legend, Jesus Christ who was considered as son of God was from Nazareth in Israel. His preaching were great source of inspiration for common people. However some high officials of Jewish priests felt that Jesus was trying to dethrone their authority and mislead the people. They made plan against Jesus with the help of Judas, one of his apostles.
After Jesus finished his prayers, the officials arrested him accusing of misleading people for not paying taxes and claiming Himself to be the messenger of God. He was brought before the chief priest, teachers of law and captions of the temples. They accused Him of being guilty. The temple officers ridiculed Him and spitted on His face. They beat, abused and slapped Him.
Next morning Jesus was taken to the Roman governor, Pilate. And the crowd began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this fellow corrupting our Jewish nation." After questioning Jesus, the governor felt that Jesus had done nothing wrong worthy of death and that He can be ordered to be beaten and released.
However the clergy did not agree and the crowd demanded His crucifixion. Pilate, wanting to satisfy the people, had Jesus brutally whipped, and then turned Him over to be crucified.
As Roman soldiers were taking Him, they braided a mock crown of thorns, placing it on His head, and they put a purple robe on Him. They said, "Hail, King of the Jews!" And they beat Him with their fists. The Romans beatings were considered to be extremely painful and they whips were designed in such a way that they would cut the flesh from their victim's bodies.
Afterwards they took Jesus and led Him away, making Him carry a wooden cross up to a place called Calvary, also known as Golgotha. Two criminals were also led to the same place to be put to death with Jesus. At the assigned place, the three men were nailed to the crosses and left to die. As they did this, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; they don't know what they are doing." For three hours, the people watched. The rulers with them mocked Jesus, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God." As He died, the sun darkened and the earth quaked, and the thick veil of the Temple ripped down the middle.
