Re: Oops, clarification -
I buy most of my food from a local farm. He lost his barn in the hurricanes and was out of business for a month, so finally after a few weeks I bought some free range eggs at the grocery store. They were so pale and anemic looking after his big orange globes, I was so disappointed! I've gotten really spoiled by fresh, deep yellow, raw butter and cream. He also sells kefir and kvas and all kinds of good stuff.
I don't go to the grocery store much anymore, I really don't like it. Ninety percent of what they sell is made in a factory and it's depressing looking at all the unhealthy, overweight people mindlessly filling their carts with things that will only add to their problems. (Plus I'm only human and hate passing the Krispy Kreme display or the cheesecake display! Why oh why can't brussels sprouts taste like chocolate layer cake??)
You're right, I'm weak too! I guess you have to pick your poison, you have to treat yourself to something or you start to feel too deprived. It's hard to keep reading this is bad and that is bad, pretty soon you've got nothing to eat but brocoli!
I've decided I need to spend some time learning to make nutritious treats. Like coconut macaroons maybe! Or a TINY little spice cake, made out of brocoli, ha ha :)
here's where I found a local farm
