In the book, he tried to get somebody to pay for a trip to Hawaii. She said, "why should I pay for your trip to Hawaii? I have hired you to find my cat." He then found it necessary to once again state that it was because of the interconnectedness of all things, and a trip to Hawaii might just solve the case back in London. When you used that statement, I got a little smirk on my face because it reminded me of him, and I love his tongue-in-cheek humor.
