Ha! I chuckle every time I read that quote. You don't think it's funny? I mean, isn't it simply....True...? I don't think it's a judgement call. There HAS to be an 'average' human being, right? He is just giving an interesting explanation as to how 'average' comes about....?

I agree that the world around us is a reflection of ourselves.

It sure helps to have our interesting and unusual ideas reflected back to us, though!

But then that begs the question....Are other people needed for us to grow, individually?
