Interesting information

Bill Harris, the Spiritual Leader of a recent Walk to Emmaus who is Pastor at Hancock State Prison and a really great man, was watching CSPAN a little while ago and saw an interview with Laura Bush. The interviewer questioned Laura about George's "rowdy...drinking, etc., past" and ask when- what- and how George made such a change. Mrs. Bush replied that George had attended a special 3-day spiritual retreat several years ago and came home a very different man with his faith greatly strengthened.

After hearing this and being a very strong supporter of our Emmaus Community, Bill Harris's ears perked up and he began to do some research, and sure enough George Bush (our President) attended East Texas Men's Walk to Emmaus #101.

I don't know about you all, but this just really helps me to know that our Commander and Chief is a strong Christian and truly does seem to have a close walk with our Lord.
