Giving to the gospel. Favoring God's righteous cause.

I partner with one ministry, but I want to give to every ministry I come across. This is a hard thing. When people are financially stretched to the limit, it is not, good. When your heart wants so desperately to give to every charity and ministry you come across, well for me I would have to make six figures just to give modestly. I guess maybe that's why we pray and ask God to lead us in our giving. Yet, we can give to those that we feel led to give to, and still feel like it's not enough. For instance, I give to three ministries, and I recieve magazines and or email ezines from 8 ministries. I could split the money that I give to 3, and give it to eight, but that would rob Peter to pay Paul.
Well, that does it. We are just going to have to give to who we can, and if God leads us to give to others, well, he is going to have to provide the extra. He owns all the silver and gold, and the cattle on a thousand hills. While I don't really want a cow, some silver and gold could come in handy. Not for greedy gain, but the gospel doesn't go very far without cash. Even the Apostles had people lay the money from their homes at their feet. The people of their day probably said, "Oh all those preachers want is your money, greedy televangelists. Oh yeah, we haven't invented TV, yet. Greedy traveling evangelists."
Anyway, we are to give cheerfully, and if I can't give cheerfully to 8 I can certainly give cheerfully to 3. We will just have to hope that the other 65 percent of Christians who don't give regularly, chip in. That is just a figure I pulled out of my head. It could be 80 percent. ha ha ha.
