For the past 6 years I've been a pretty steady customer. Since 1998 I was diagnosed with dystonia. It started out primarily with cervical then went forward including five different areas affected by the dystonia. The primary way that the dystonia has been worked is by the injections of Botox, usually in 3 month intervals. This has never been very helpful, and along with oral meds that I've tried with marginal success. Last July (2004)I received a neurosurgery called "deep brain stimulation", all of these with only a minimal amount of relief.
Do you have anything to suggest as to how I might approach working with dystonia any differently?
The worst part of this disease is the severe pain in the muscles, and the way it has crippled my body. I am 46years old.
