Cooking for others is not going to make it easy. Is this something you have to do?
My only other suggestion is to do--but not think of it as food. I fasted last year for 20 days and cooked for my family the whole time and it wasn't easy but after about 5 or 6 days I lost my interest in food and food/something I could not have at the time. It was hard not to sample everything and taste the spices in things. I am sure my cooking was a bit worse during that time.
