What the poor General doesn't understand is, that, if the poor repressed peoples are left to their ignorant ways, that they become a threat to the U.S., and the rest of the world. They express their hate by using terrorists, so that they can attack people without being directly blamed. So the general is "major"ly wrong. Yes, you can leave people alone to work out their own problems, allowing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people (IRAN/IRAQ in the 80's and 90's) and threat to the security other countries, or you can go in and take out that regime, and try to make changes for the better. Saddam and his regime deserve death for their crimes. Not negotiations, not inspections, death. He has forfeited his right to life.
