Re: blood pressure

i had written a few days ago about the fact that my blood pressure was a little high lately. well i kept taking the blood pressure over a few days and what i have noticed is that initially it is slightly high and then i have to take it a second time and it is back down to a very normal range. i spoke to the pharmacist and she told me that blood pressure automatically goes up when a person is active whether shopping, errands etc., but when someone then sits down takes a rest it lowers. she claims that blood pressure actually should not be taken until after about a half hour of rest and relaxation to get an accurate reading. i was taking the blood pressure on one of these drug machines not by myself at home with one of the old fashioned types with the band around the arm and stethescope. anyway it seems it is getting back to normal and just thought i would let you know. thank you for your assistance.
