Re: Is beeswax safe to eat?

As a middle school and high school student, I worked with my best friend's dad tending bees and preparing honey, honeycomb, propolis, and pollen for sale. We always chewed the honeycomb like gum and then spit it out when the honey was completely released. I am sure it is safe to eat (ie. not poisonous or anything), but I don't think a big piece of wax is too good travelling through the body.
