If it is the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith also believed there were six foot tall men on the moon who wore Quaker Hats...qouted in the late 1800's in a Southern Magazine... The Book of Mormon was written hundred years after Christ walked the earth... I would consider any witness of an event that happened hundreds of years before the event happened of questionable reliability. I will still read the Bible with Eyes wide open and see what the New Testament has to say about Jesus. Discounting something because it sounds fantastic is like discounting a Fantastic God.
