Some people, particularly when first developing psychic powers, think that whatever information they receive is good and true vision. The truth is, like the conscious realm of reality, quite complex. There are beings (living, nonliving, and sub-life forms) that can alter, distort or "provide" one with information. That is why many psychic development books/manuals recommend that you prepare/protect yourself first before venturing into the psychic realm. In addition, the technologies we possess today can also provide one w/a psychic experience, a dream, and much more invasive kinds of experiences and/or programming.

The good news is that protecting oneself is actually quite simple. One simply has to acknowledge that one has all the power one needs to "protect" one's own space/self. We are all given this power/ability by God. We can lose it thru accepting a "different version" of reality (i.e., believing we are not capable of protecting ourselves from more powerful beings/weapons, etc.) or thru violating other's space/power (As you do, so shall you have done to you -- so to speak). Once one realizes that one can protect oneself -- how you acknowledge that power is pretty much up to you.

For whatever reason -- perhaps because my soul tends to expend a great deal of its energy outside of my body -- my body is sometimes more susceptible to "psychic attack" than might otherwise be the case. I can pretty much tell the bogus information from the true information, altho I wld never be so stupid as to think I am immune to being fed "disinformation". But I tend to use all of my powers to discern truth -- never relying completely on one or a just few ways of determining truth.


To summarize: protect yourself in ways that you understand. It is best for each person to develop the symbology/metaphor -- whatever works for them to provide that "cleansing" and confidence to prepare oneself to receive information coming in only on the higher vibrational wavelengths.
