Re: Fluoride and tea
I also drink tons of green tea, I was drinking easily 4 cups a day, but I would give myself one or two days off on the weekend each week. I have heard that the fluoride in green tea is different than the fluoride in other sources such as black tea, water, toothpaste, etc. I do know that the southern iced tea which is such a popular drink is definitely causing additional harm to people.
Anyway, then I took several weeks for a complete break from green tea, and now I'm back on it, but it's just one cup and not every day. I'm not too worried about it, especially since I don't use toothpaste and hardly ever eat anything cooked in teflon. Plus I use whole leaves, and in my mind they release less fluoride than ground tea. I find Green Tea so useful, I got off my allergy and asthma medicine by drinking that stuff (and going off dairy). I'm a singer, so on days I need to perform I will drink it to make sure I don't have any allergy problems. In a few months I'll move back to the USA and then I'll see about getting a distiller. Plus if anything my body temperature is higher than it was 3-4 years ago. I was always cold and needed sweaters in air conditioning etc. and now I can go around with just short sleeves and be comfortable outdoors and in air conditioning (I live on the equator right now, by the way).
