superglue toxicity?

Can someone please tell me whether superglue has any toxic effects? About 2 days ago I used superglue (cyanoacrylate) to fix something, however some of it hardened on my fingers. I licked my fingers, but it wouldn't come off. Now it has come off, but I still have a bitter taste in my mouth. The unpleasant taste seems to become less noticeable with time, but it's still there. Have I poisoned myself somehow? I did some research, but I failed to notice a similar problem with superglue. What could be the problem? Is this glue toxic?
