Re: Honey!

Sorry, I am not sure about Polygrip's toxicity. I would guess it is made from a petrochemical base, as most mainstream products are. If it doesn't say "natural sources", its petrochemical, because thats the cheapest source for the chemicals and compounds. That allways means toxins, unfortunately.
I will assume your friend has a full upper denture? So do I.
Getting it to stay solid is an issue. When my mouth goes dry - everytime I am speaking in public, lol - its a real problem.
One thing that I found was - HONEY. Just a small drop on the main part "plate" part of the denture does a great job. It will disolve too soon, and there may be a 'danger' to having sweet stuff in your mouth all the time, but honey is the least likely
Sugar to cause problems. And nothing as 'dangerous' as toxins...
Maybe bee's wax? I have not tried that yet.
I hope we can buy a specially made natural product to hold dentures in place soon. There seems to be a
Conspiracy to keep dentures from being "an acceptable choice". Dentists want us to keep our natural teeth no matter what, it seems. [I had such a struggle to get the dentist-tits to pull my teeth, despite the raging pains that they could not stop.] So, dentures are not promoted, researched, etc.
I think there will be a new kind of denture that works really well in a few more years. But until then, I hope we can all make do.
