Excitotoxins: The Taste that Kills by Russell Blaylock

This is a very good book which I am reading right now. It's all about what is called excitotoxins which are MSG, Aspartame, Kainate, etc. It talks about additives in our foods and what they do to our brains and how detrimental they are to our health. Prepare to be shocked and mad that these ingredients are in just about EVERYTHING we eat. Food companies try to hide these excitotoxins in other ingredients such as "spices" and "natural flavors." They are flavor enhancers and do not provide any type of nutritional value.

Excitotoxin: a substance added to foods and beverages that literally stimulates neurons to death, causing brain damage of varying degrees. Can be found in such ingredients as monosodium glutamate (MSG), Aspartame (Nutrasweet), cysteine, hydrolyzed protein, and aspartic acid to name JUST A FEW.
