genital warts or HPV

i was told 4 years ago i had HPV. well i freaked. sounded pretty serious. i guess it is as certain strains of genital warts can lead to cancer. nonetheless they are considered an STD. well back then my ob/gyn scared me into doing the freezing treatment and all was well until this years' visit. with new and improved testing they detected it again. she showed me the long list of the various strains i had and being under the impression i got them Again - do viruses ever go away? - i went through another treatment of freezing. i came home determined to learn all i could and hoping to find something from Dr. Schulze but haven't had much luck. what i have found out though pissed me off about my ob/gyn. HPV includes All kinds of warts - the ones on our hands, feet, etc. i used to have them on my hands when i was a kid. well, those were included in the list of strains i had but did she tell me that? no way. i thought all those strains were ones i caught sexually. i felt like a skanky whore. if i do have them (again as she says) or to avoid the invasive "treatment" i want to find a natural way to take care of these, let alone having to tell my partner the horrid news. anyone with info please help.
