J, I don't know if taking cayenne that is that hot with water will affect the effects of the cayenne cure. But I must admit that if it is that painful you should drink it with water. I don't know alot because I am also a new learner, but if you are suffering that much, I would definitely take it with liquid, you look after yourself and all the best to you J, Elaina
