Re: This weeks drug warnings - Tamoxofin, Remicaide, Vioxx.

"Tamoxofin increases the chance of getting a stroke".

This came out today.
Last week there was the warnings on Paxil, and Remicaide, and also Vioxx of course.

Is there any safe pharmaceutical produced in the past decade?
None of them have been proven safe... in that hardly no testing is done long term it seems - Vioxx [stroke and heart disease problems] was tested for five years, and all those testings were only for FIVE WEEK periods [to test for efficacy only, not safety!!]. No long term follow ups were done, they just let it into the marketplace to see what happens. Does this bring us confidence in Pharmaceuticals?

BAH, humbug!!

Have you noticed those TV ads for the drugs for social anxiety? It sounds like normal problems, not a disease than needs dangerous medications. "Do you feel sort of bad in some way?" - ... "here, take this drug, it is not addictive, but don't stop it suddenely". Ya, right, like Paxil isn't addictive [read first post].
